The vines at Bergaglio are planted at an altitude of 300m above-sea-level with a westerly exposure. The average age of the vines are roughly 30 years old, which are planted at a density of 3800 per hectare, making use of the guyot training system. The vines are not irrigated and are manually harvested.
The La Minaia Gavi di Gavi is a white wine made from 100% Cortese, an indigenous Italian white grape variety.
The wine is pale gold in colour and has a light, fresh, mineral and citrus bouquet. On the palate it is crisp and dry, with a hint of ripe pears and a complex array of red and green apples, the finish is mouth wateringly refreshing and lengthy.
