The Henschke Cabernet Sauvignon label carries the name Cyril Henschke (1924-1979) as a tribute to one of Australia’s outstanding winemakers and pioneers in the production of varietal table wines. Cyril Henschke planted Cabernet Sauvignon at Eden Valley in the 1960s.

The Cyril Henschke 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon is a great vintage containing 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot grapes; all grown exclusively in the Henschke Eden Valley Estate vineyard.

The wine is very deep crimson in colour and displays a rich bouquet of violets, cassis, cedar and chocolate. The palate is sweet and full with delicious structure, silky texture and fine grained tannins.

A great vintage that will reward careful cellaring over the next 5-6 years.
