The Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, Vigna del Fiore is a single vineyard red wine made from 100% Sangiovese grapes.
The ‘Vigna del Fiore’ is a unique vineyard with southern exposure at an altitude of 360 metres, very stony soil and only a small proportion of clay in its composition.
All harvesting of grapes is done meticulously by hand and after vinification the wine is aged for four years in large Slovenian oak casks and then matured for a further year in bottle prior to its release.
The final Brunello di Montalcino Riserva made by Fattoria dei Barbi has a wonderful aroma of crushed currants and berries. The palate is full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a long, expressive, fruity finish. This is a very special wine, rich, with an ample range of fruity aromas, and very elegant.
