The fruit for this South African sauvignon blanc comes from established award winning vineyards in the Stellenbosch region - planted in 1984, 1985 and 1993 on Hutton (decomposed granite) soils. After harvesting by hand the grapes undergo minimal intervention once at the modern winery. Fermented cold in stainless-steel tanks and bottled early to capture the zingy fruity freshness of the grape, the final sauvignon blanc wine is bright pale gold in colour with flashes of lime green, the wine is fresh, crisp and aromatic on the nose, boasting delicious gooseberry, melon and pineapple aromas. On the palate the wine is medium bodied and juicy leading to a crisp, refreshing finish which is bone dry. The Thelema sauvignon blanc is ideal as an aperitif or alternatively an excellent accompaniment with various fish dishes.
