Tiny quantities of grapes for Le Stanze are hand harvested and then undergo fermentation for about 20 days. Ageing takes place in new oak barriques for 18 months before spending a further 8 months in bottle before its release. The final blend for this wine is 70 per cent Cabernet Sauvignon and 30 per cent Merlot. Intense ruby red in colour the wine is complex, showing a concentrated bouquet of rich blackcurrant aromas. The concentration of flavour is enhanced on the palate by sweet new oak and dry tannins.
