Bruno Rocca's family has been living in Rabaja since his parents bought the property in 1928. The steep slopes of their eight hectare site have always produced grapes of outstanding quality, and it is the quality of the vineyard that has seen Bruno Rocca rise to the top of the Barbaresco quality tree since he started bottling in 1978.

Bruno Rocca adopts a modern style in his winemaking, yet the great intensity of fruit is balanced by a typical Piemontese structure, and the character of the varietal is balanced by a judicious use of oak. Furthermore, his wines look, smell and taste like real Nebbiolo, something that is increasingly unusual at a time when many producers feel the need to add a bit of 'qualcos altro' to their Barolo or Barbaresco to give them more colour!
