Ninquén Mountain Vineyard

Colchagua Valley Huge investment has gone into planting the Ninquén Hill and producing the eponymous Ninquén and Antu Ninquén wines. Ninquén (nin-ken) means 'Plateau on a Mountain' in native dialect and literally describes its geographical location. This site was the first ever Chilean hilltop vineyard, planted in the Colchagua Valley in 1998, and it produces complex, super premium wines in very limited quantities. Yields are kept low, and vigorous hand picking and selection ensures the quality and concentration of the final product. Since 1999, the world renowned winemaker, Paul Hobbs from the USA has consulted on this project. El Presidente and Winemaker, Hernan Gras, believes that the unique terroir and aspect of the mountain are reflected in the wines.
