The grapes for the 2005 Intriga Cabernet Sauvignon were all hand harvested and carefully selected prior to fermentation. Made from 100 % Cabernet Sauvignon grapes the wine spent 14 months in oak, 30% of which was American with the remainder French.
This is a rich, full bodied wine that would pair well with red meat and rich sauces. Deep purple in the glass, the Intriga Cabernet Sauvignon is jam packed with blackberry and dark cherry aromas, enveloped by elegant toast and vanilla. On the palate the wine is dense and powerful, with ripe juicy tannins and concentrated fruit flavours. The wine has a silky rounded edge, fine structure and elegant texture which leads to a long ripe and fruit filled finish.
