Fiona Turner's Tinpot Hut range of wines has very quickly become a firm favourite amongst the 'Kiwi' wine drinking public. It is not unsurprising really when you consider that Fiona (together with her fellow winemaker Matt Thomson) has worked on many of the most successful wines to be made in the Marlborough region of New Zealand.

The Tinpot Hut that gave its name to Fiona’s brand is an old mustering hut in the remote hills between the Wairau and Awatere Valleys. These huts were used as a base for musterers, who were responsible for rounding up the sheep that had been in the hills from spring to autumn and bringing them down to the low paddocks for the winter.

Fiona has sourced the fruit for these wines primarily from her own vineyard in Blind River and combined it with grapes from some other carefully selected sites in Marlborough.

Fruit for the Tinpot Hut Sauvignon Blanc was sourced primarily from Fiona Turner's own vineyard in Blind River, with further fruit supplemented from other carefully selected sites in the Marlborough region.
