The Bodegas Santa Ana Viognier is a fantastic white wine that can be drunk by itself, but really comes into its own when paired with white meats and sauces. Perfect with roasted pork loin stuffed with apricot or pan fried chicken fillets with a spicy tomato salsa, this is a very versatile wine and a refreshing change to the more main stream white grape varieties.
Clear golden yellow in colour with enticing aromas of apricots and peaches, the wine is medium bodied, rounded and fruity with succulent mouth feel and a crisp, refreshing finish.
Hand selected bunches are picked from superior quality vineyards within the Bodegas Santa Ana estate in Cuyo, Mendoza. After de-stemming, the bunches are crushed and chilled, the juice is allowed a short skin contact before racking off the gross lees and fermenting in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Ageing is in French barrique, a proportion of which are new, on the fine lees and the wine is bottled after filtration and cold stabilisation.
