Margaret River

Di and Kevin Cullen planted the first commercial vineyard in the Margaret River in 1965 after their friend, Dr. John Gladstones carried out a study (at the behest of the Western Australian Government) which indicated that the area had all the attributes to produce world quality wine.

Forty three years later, Margaret River is widely regarded as one of the world's premium wine-producing areas, not to mention one of its most beautiful. This renown is due in no small part to the efforts of Kevin, Di (the original winemaker) and their youngest daughter, Vanya, who took over as winemaker in 1989. From their original single acre plot, they have grown to 70 acres, all situated in the Wilyabrup, the central part of the Margaret River region.
