This is Fonterutoli's flagship wine and it is the most representative of the estate's production.
Grapes were sourced from the Siepi vineyard 260 metres above sea level, with a south westerly exposure. The blend is 90% Sangiovese and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon with all the grapes being hand harvested. Having spent 18 months in French oak barrels the wine is left to mature for a further 6 months in bottle before release. An intense wine with an extraordinary combination of power and elegance that shows off the true potential for the Sangiovese grape.
