Forest Hill
Great Southern, Western Australia
Established in 1965, Forest Hill is the oldest cool-climate vineyard in Western Australia, with the oldest vines in the region. The long, consistent growing seasons and cool nights of the Great Southern, coupled with mature dry-grown vines contribute to Forest Hill achieving world-wide recognition as a benchmark wine producer winning multiple awards over its forty-two year history. This year James Halliday listed Forest Hill as one of the 10 ‘Dark Horses’ in Australia. Forest Hill wines are produced by a young passionate team with the strictest adherence to quality, ensuring Forest Hill provides unique and exciting wines which are distinctive, elegant and cool-climate in style. Forest Hill have recently introduced a range of limited release wines under the 'Block Series' label, carefully selected from the original 1965 plantings, which to this day remain dry-grown, hand pruned and hand harvested. The Block One Riesling is Forest Hill's flagship wine, fermented with wild yeast and only produced in limited quantities. These wines have proved to be extremely popular and as such stocks are strictly limited.
