The wines of Amaral are the latest addition to our range of top quality Chilean wine and one in which we are sure will prove to be extremely popular. Amaral are located in San Antonio’s Leyda Valley, a recently developed cool climate region between the Chilean capital Santiago and the pacific coast. Amaral have 620 hectares of vines which border the Maipo River and the Pacific Ocean, where the Humboldt current brings cold winds in from the ocean allowing for a more maritime climate than that of Casablanca, with even lower average temperature and less risk of frost. The extended ripening period that the fruit enjoys enables winemaker, Jamie De La Cerda, access to grapes that are more concentrated thus allowing him to craft aromatic wines of great elegance.

The Amaral Sauvignon Blanc wine is extremely aromatic, displaying grassy and green herb fragrances alongside a pungent, tropical character. On the palate the wine is medium bodied and juicy, dry, with a crisp edge and a well defined, fruit driven structure.
