Parusso

ParussoPiemonte

The range of wines that Marco Parusso makes is nothing short of astonishing, and even more so when one considers that 12 years ago he had just one barrel and a whole lot of worries. Now, however, Marco is a man possessed of a passion virtually unique to the winemaking world, his desire to emphasise the expression of ‘Terroir’ and promote the soil with which he works is unbelievable. The proof is in the pudding and a quick tour of the immaculate gravity fed winemaking area and impressive barrel cellar followed by a tasting in what is effectively his dinning room, serve to impress upon the visitor how uncompromising and skilled Marco is. You may also get to try some of his awesome salami, for which he has a quite separate, yet no less impressive reputation.

Bin No. BUSSIA04
Price: £59.00
The Parusso Barolo Bussia is aged in small oak barrels for two years and then in bottle for a further 8 months prior to its release. The final wine is intense with a rich nose of blackberry fruit and spicy oak, subtle and complex aromas of rose petals, cocoa and cedar. The palate is massive, but combines a real mouthful of ripe red fruits with fine, harmonic tannins, elegant acidity and a structured, persistent finish. This wine is everything ..

Whitehaven wines was formed in 1993 by Greg and Sue White, and winemaker, Simon Waghorn. Their aim was to establish a winery in Marlborough producing premium quality varietal wines. To achieve this they have brought together a leading New Zealand winemaker, a dedicated group of growers, and a small modern winery facility where top quality fruit can receive the 'hands-on' treatment that i
