Andalucia | Wine Region
Andalucía is home to the world famous fine wines of Sherry, which takes its name from the town of Jerez, and also the dessert wines of Montilla-Moriles (DO). With temperatures easily surpassing 100°F in the summer, this is an area ideal for the production of fortified and dessert style wines.
The sherry market in the UK is enjoying something of a renaissance recently and it is easy to understand why when some very good examples are finding their way to our shores. Although we call all of them Sherry, each of these styles - Manzanilla; Fino; Amontillado; Palo Cortado; Oloroso; and Pedro Ximénez - expresses their own unique set of aromas and flavours.
