The U.S.A
There is an unfortunate miss-conception amongst many of the wine drinking public that the Californian wine industry purely exists on wines produced from a handful of major brands.
One only has to take a glance around the shelves of the high-street stores and supermarkets at the ranges on offer there to obtain this impression!
However, here at Hic! it is our intention to broaden your wine drinking horizons of America’s Golden State and introduce to you some of the true superstars of American wine-making.
Over the last couple of decades Californian wine-makers have managed to fashion some of the world’s finest: Cabernet Sauvignon wine, Merlot wine, Zinfandel wine and Chardonnay’s, by rejecting the powerful overblown fruit styles of previous generations and opting instead for wines with greater finesse and elegance.
Hopefully our range on offer will prove to you, that there is much, much, more to Californian wines than those that are the standard bearers for multi-buy’s, B.O.G.O.F’s (Buy One Get One Free) and heavy discounts that are so prevalent on the supermarket shelves up and down the country! |
