Terms & Conditions


These terms and conditions apply to all wines, spirits or other goods or services supplied by Hic! to you. By accessing this website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below.


How To Order

You may order wines, spirits or any other goods by the various methods indicated below (unless otherwise stated). You will have a right to cancel any such order, please see our ‘Return of Goods / Cancellation’ section below for more details. Please note that Hic! does not impose a minimum order quantity or value upon its customers.

Our Contract With You

Your order is an offer to buy from us. There will be no contract of any kind between Hic! and you unless and until we accept your order and in the case of wines and goods to be delivered to you, when we actually despatch the goods to you. At any point up until then, we may decline to supply the goods to you without giving any reason. At the point we accept your order and when the goods are despatched, a contract will be made between you and us.

Description & Prices

The description and prices payable for the items that you order are clearly set out in our website. If by mistake, we have under-priced an item, we will not be liable to provide that item to you at the stated price provided that we notify you before we despatch the item concerned and we may cancel your order provided we refund to you any payments you have made.

We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. Prices listed on our website are quoted per bottle, case or otherwise inclusive of all relevant taxes.

How To Pay

Payment can be made safely and securely online via our online payment gateway where we accept all major credit and debit cards. Payment can also be made via PayPal. Credit cards are always debited in UK pounds sterling. If you would like to pay by cheque please make these payable to Hic! Please note that payment will be taken in full at the time of ordering. For bespoke orders and offers not available online we can send a secure payment link via email for you to pay securely online via our payment gateway.


Orders of £150.00 or more (per delivery address) are delivered free of charge throughout mainland UK.

We can offer our delivery service to the Scottish Highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands and the Republic of Ireland. We can also offer timed deliveries and Saturday delivery at an extra cost. Please contact us for an accurate price quotation for your order.

Orders less than £150.00 will incur a delivery charge of £9.95 per delivery address.

We normally deliver between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday within 7 working days from receipt of order.

Whilst we make every effort to deliver all your goods in the agreed time we will not be liable if we fail to do so in part or in full due to circumstances beyond our control.

Receipt of Goods

Deliveries should be signed for as ‘Not Examined’ and you should inspect the goods as soon as possible and notify us immediately of any breakages or shortages. If you will not be at the delivery address at the expected time of delivery and wish us to leave your order in a secure place, please advise us. We regret that neither we nor our carriers can accept responsibility for any subsequent loss or damage which occurs once the consignment has been left.

Substitutes / Availability

All our wines and spirits are offered subject to availability. From time to time some of our wines inevitably go out of stock and we therefore reserve the right to select and deliver to you a substitute (of equal or higher value) to the wine you have ordered, to avoid delay in the delivery of your order. If we are unable to supply a particular item, or do not supply a substitute, we will not be liable to you except to ensure that you are not charged for that item.

Return of Goods / Cancellation

Any order placed for goods (to be delivered) may be cancelled within 7 working days of receipt of goods. A full refund will be offered provided the goods remain in a good condition and that the request to cancel is received in writing. When you return the products back to us they must be in a saleable condition and in the original, undamaged packaging.

We will refund the price of the item to the purchaser via their original payment method once it is received by us. A refund of any delivery charges will be given in the instance of incorrect, damaged or faulty goods.

For your protection we strongly recommend that you use a recorded delivery service to return goods. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt and all goods remain the responsibility of the customer until they are received by us.

Privacy Policy

To make a purchase from the Hic! website you agree to the terms and conditions of the site. We only collect personal information to enable us to process and deliver your order. By registering your details on our website, you consent to us holding personal data about you. We will not share your personal information for marketing or any other purposes unless where required by law and we will comply with current data protection legislation.

Applicable Law

Nothing in these terms and conditions limits or excludes your statutory rights as a consumer. All contracts are subject to ENGLISH law and jurisdiction.
