Once at the winery vinification is undertaken in state-of-the-art stainless steel temperature controlled fermentation tanks. This helps to preserve the aromas and concentration of the wine, which is then cold settled and bottled to preserve as much of the aroma and freshness as possible. The 2008 vintage of Mansion House Bay Sauvignon Blanc is straw green in colour displaying gooseberry, redcurrant and lemon aromas. The palate is medium to full-bodied with vibrant acidity and crisp fruit flavours. The finish is zesty and long. |

Iona Sauvignon Blanc - Special Case Offer*** 12 Bottles Only £108.00 ***Buy Iona Sauvignon Blanc After a rigorous selection process the grapes for the Iona Sauvignon Blanc 2008 are all de-stemmed and crushed; the free run juice and pressings are kept separate, racked clean and lees filtered. Cool-fermentation takes place for 12 to 14 days and then the wine is racked soon after. Only the best components are used for the final Iona Sauvignon Blanc blend, with one filtration before bottling. Iona Sauvignon Blanc is a white wine that has a wonderfully aromatic nose; showing fine mineral notes, hints of herbs, leaves and a touch of gooseberry fruit. The palate is extremely well balanced with classic Sauvignon Blanc characters of gooseberry and grapefruit and a long, fine finish. This wine has a wonderfully aromatic nose showing fine mineral notes, hints of herbs, leaves and a touch of gooseberry fruit; very stylish and polished. |
