Making a Wine Purchase with Hic! Please take time to read the following advice on how to purchase wine with Hic! Wines.Please note that it is an offence to buy, or attempt to buy, alcohol if you are under the age of 18. It is also an offence for any person over the age of 18 to purchase alcohol on behalf of somebody who is under the age of 18. We will not sell alcohol to anyone who we believe to be under the age of 18. Add products to your basket All our wines are available to purchase online. Some wines are available to purchase by the bottle, others are only available to buy by the case (the quantity of bottles in the case will be stipulated in the product description). Bottle prices and case prices are clearly indicated in the product description. If you find a wine you wish to order please put the quantity of bottles (or cases if applicable) you require in the box - click ADD to add that number to your order. Your Basket As you browse the site and add products to your basket you will notice that the value of your order and the quantity of items making up your order will appear in the menu to the right of the screen. You can click on the 'View Basket' link at any time to view the entire contents of your basket. You can also change the quantity or delete items from your order here if you wish to. You can continue shopping by clicking on the continue shopping link. Once you are happy with the items you have in your basket, click the 'Check Out' link to proceed with your order. Check Out After clicking on 'Check Out' you will be asked for your delivery details. Please select your delivery area from the drop down menu and enter your postcode so we can calculate any applicable delivery charges. Once you have entered your delivery details you will be asked to 'Confirm your Order', if you are happy with the total cost of your purchase please press 'continue' to proceed to the Payment and Delivery Details page. Delivery Details Your order will be sent to the delivery address details you provide in this section. It is very important to note that our couriers are instructed to only attempt to deliver once to the delivery address you enter. If it is convenient to do so, please give a work address where the wine can be delivered. Alternatively please give any special instructions where the wine can be left safely and securely i.e. with a neighbour in the box provided. Please also include a contact telephone number so that the delivery driver can contact you should the need arise. Please select your preferred method of payment and then click Confirm Order to continue. If you elect to pay online by card please note that all our online payments are processed by PayPal. Invoice Confirmation Your order reference and details will be displayed on an invoice for you to print off and keep for your own records Substitutions Please note that alternative wines may be used to complete an order if a particular wine is out of stock or if there has been a change in vintage. However, in these instances, we will do our best to contact you to explain the situation and discuss the possible alternatives. In the absence of instructions to the contrary, an appropriate substitute may be used to complete an order, providing that we are confident it is fully the peer of, and as good value, as the unavailable item. |
